Still recovering... continued...

Just a quick little update as I continue to recover. I’m still recovering from:
chemo…
neuropathy! It’s still hanging on, in both my fingers and feet
surgery…
I still have some pain at the surgery sites and the ‘cording’ in my arm, but my range of motion is getting better
port removal…
still have some pain at the port-site, and I still have another week of limitations… not getting it wet, and lifting restrictions.
Overall, the side effects (except the neuropathy) seem to be lessening as the weeks pass. So thankful for less pain!
My first 2 radiation treatments went well. It’s very easy… lie as still as possible on a hard (uncomfortable) flat bed, but breathe normally as this monster of a machine moves strategically around me. I sometimes find it hard to breathe normally when it’s all the focus… I feel my heartbeat start to increase/pound, but the music is soothing and once I tell myself to relax, I’m good. The best part… it doesn’t hurt!
2 down, 28 to go!
Newsflash... I’m headed back to work tomorrow!
In-person!
It’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow since my surgery and it literally took all 6 weeks for me to feel ready… just like they said! Soooo ‘going’ to work is something I haven’t done since March 13, 2020.
That’s 472 days… or, 1 year 3 months and 15 days!
The rest of our team returned this past spring, but because I was still undergoing chemo treatments, immunocompromised, I continued to work from home… and so very thankful for that opportunity.
Needless to say, I’m super excited to return in-person and see my work family again.
This past week was filled with another mini-vacay… another much needed visit with my family. Thank you Dave and Kelsey... Hudson and Aubree for the amazing, fun-filled, memorable visit! <3
Luckily, my appointments were scheduled where we got to spend a couple days with them in Newport Beach, then another couple days here at our home since I had to start my radiation treatments. But so thankful for the time we had together… so fun, so needed, and truly healing...
...priceless!

Today I got to video-chat with my sisters in Greece… and I loved every minute of our call. They’re the best and I love them sooo very much! Thank you Roula and Lefki for your love and for our fun calls… s’agapo!

I will continue my daily radiation treatments M-F… slathering up 3 times a day with my new line of skin care products, hoping they will reduce the common side effect of feeling like I have a very bad sunburn. It’s a common side effect, so I anticipate it’ll happen, but hoping my creams, gels and lotions will reduce the intenseness.
Until next post... stay healthy, stay safe!
