Trrying to learn everything I need to know to be fully prepared, I went to the world wide web... after all it has everything we need, right? It sometimes has more than we need! So I quickly learned to limit myself to how much time I spent looking, and what I looked at. We are all different, our bodies are all different, that's what makes everyone so special. But for treatments, it's even more important to realize we will all have our own journey, unique to our to our mind and body. We can do our best to control our mind, but our body will do what it's going to do.
I had my 'Chemo Teaching Appt' Dec 3 via phone with my Infusion Nurse. WOW... so much information... all the Meds, all the possible side effects, things to do, and things NOT to do; but also so many suggestions. Being a survivor herself she was able to share her own experience and what helped her. She was kind, compassionate, and doing her job... preparing me! That evening I was beyond overwhelmed... I cried a lot!! But by morning, I remembered that she was just preparing me for what 'could' happen. That's their job!!
So I feel I've prepared my mind, but I'm still scared, nervous, & anxious... since I have no clue how this body is going to respond. We will have the answer on Dec 7.
