It’s been a rough week!

~ all random
~ all non-intentional
~ but sometimes you have to dwell on it before you can 'get over it'
~ so I stumbled on this pic and thought it was appropriate
~ gotta love the grinch!!
So the week started out good, but about half way through just some crazy, random things started happening… and all of them totally unrelated. I won’t be writing about all of them because I’m just not ready. But I’ll be okay… and so will my Zoie, and diamond earrings can be replaced, and luckily I jot down my notes in a book because important little sticky notes can disappear… oh and scheduling assistants can make mistakes… they may not realize how impactful that may be on a patient, but I’m living proof it can be. Mistakes happen, I get it, and I know I’m more emotional, but this was a big one for me. As I said, I’ll be okay once I get over it.

On a good note, I finally found a restaurant, actually less than a mile away, that makes liver & onions! Thank you Scramblez for coming through for me!
My labs improved, I didn’t have to cook, and it was delicious… so it was a win-win-win!
Oh and this meal was so huge, it ended up being 3 meals for me!!
Besides ‘Love Your Melon’ I spoke about a few weeks ago, I want to give a shout out to another amazing company… “susansnaps”!
Delicious gingersnap cookies that all started because Laura (the mom) had to watch her husband and daughter undergo chemo within the course of a year… and she wanted/needed to do something to help. They are delicious and I love their mission. I hope you check them out… susansnaps.com
Thank you S & M!

AND... thank you R & D for the beautiful card and generous gift card. Such a thoughtful gift... you know we love this place almost as much as you do... maybe more... okay, maybe the same! <3
Today’s appointment…
my labs were normal, well… normal as can be at this point. But normal enough to proceed with infusion. Again it went pretty smooth, so yay!
And as the story tends to go, I didn’t sleep well last night, but I look forward to tonight thanks to my ‘anti-nausea w/a sleep-aid’ med! Not thrilled that these lingering side effects have hung on for a few weeks. They’re on the side effect list, so are to be expected, but you just never know if and when they’ll join the party and how long they'll stay:
the cough… which is related to the lung capacity, or lack thereof;
the bloody noses… related to the dryness.
I’ll be soooo glad when they both go away. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… I can deal with a few of these at a time, but just hoping they all don’t come at once! Can you even imagine!!

Oh, this hat...
a gift from my Kelsey... and she knows this is not a word in my vocabulary, so she altered it just a wee bit and I absolutely love it! And we have matching hats, and will wear them proudly because it’s a true statement… it may sound harsh, but a few of you have shared this same sentiment with me… and yes, some of you have surprised me… but I get it, it’s so true! f*ck cancer
Lastly, I’m bit anxious this week for COVID vaccine #2. First of all, I’m hoping my next labs will allow me to get the vaccine; and then I’m hoping I don’t get too sick from it, as I really want to stay on schedule for my next chemo. Fingers crossed all goes well.
to be frank... I just want this to be over...
Next appointment... March 22
